Workshop Description:
Educational research has shown that students relate better to content presented in the form of moral and ethical dilemmas rather than as facts. The concept of dilemmas implies that in a democratic society there is no one answer--only the interplay of various interests.This seminar in bio-ethics utilizes this unique approach to introduce faculty to role-playing activities they can use to enhance the learning experience for their students.

Aimed at middle & high school teachers, this exciting workshop employs a variety of algebra exercises that involve active student participation . It will get students thinking you are an absolute magician! ( Grades 8-10 Algebra a pre-requisite)

Mike Breen, Ph.D ( University of Arkansas) and Bill Butterworth, Ph.D  (Northwestern University) join forces to present their nationally acclaimed Math Magic workshops online for the first time ever. Mike has been a contestant on the TV shows Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, while Bill Butterworth is a math consultant for The Price is Right television program and teaches math at DePaul University
