WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT OUR WEB WORKSHOPS?
Our web workshops build on the foundation of a traditional in-class course ---and then add the unique and exciting features available online:
Our web workshops can accomodate a wide range of learning styles simultaneously. For participants who want a "no nonsense" learning experience,our workshop formats accomodate this preference by providing a highly structured presentation and clearly accessible information. But for those who want the freedom to explore and unearth layers of new information, "links" provide a series of gateways to additional layers of learning.
Our web workshops, offered every first and third Monday of each month and available to you 24/7 , provide busy professionals with control and flexibility over when and how they take our workshops. But the web experience offers even more.Whereas students in a classroom setting are limited in their ability to stop the instructor and repeat sections of a session, web courses permit students to go over material as many times as necessary, at their own pace.
Our web workshops offer access to a "community of learners" via our discussion groups. Using our "chat room"--or even regular e mail--participants can build relationships with each other.
Our web workshops are hosted by experienced instructors who are available to answer questions. They may do so at set periods, using a chat room for office hours, or via regular e-mail. As more bandwidth becomes available, instructors may even be able to answer questions via regular "webcasts".
Our web workshops will incorporate all the technology possible to make the student experience more enjoyable. For example, we will conduct "web polls" on controversial issues raised during the workshop and use sound clips and streaming video where possible. "Distance learning", currently delivered on physical sites via television, will eventually become possible via the Internet and the instructor will, quite literally, come out of the "box" and into your home!
Above all, participants will be able to enter a whole world of learning from the comfort of their own homes and at their convenience. Welcome to the wonderful world of web learning!
